Plantation Shutters
Custom built, professionally measured, installed by our own crew, and backed for life.
Plantation Shutters in Texarkana, PolyCore and Real Wood
Shutters are the one window treatment that reads as part of the house instead of something hung on it. They add real value, they last decades, and they never look dated.
We build ours two ways. PolyCore, which is the workhorse, and real wood, which is the showpiece. Both are made to your exact window measurements, and both come with a lifetime warranty.
We come out, measure every opening ourselves, walk you through the material and louver options in your own light, and leave you with a clear quote. No pressure and no guessing.
PolyCore Shutters
PolyCore is a poly resin and wood composite built around an aluminum core. That core is the reason these hold their shape. They will not warp, crack, split, sag, or yellow, and you will never have to repaint them.
They are also completely waterproof, which makes them the right pick for bathrooms, kitchens, laundry rooms, and any window that catches afternoon sun and heat. Ark-La-Tex humidity does not bother them at all.
- Will not warp, crack, split, or discolor
- 100% waterproof, perfect for bathrooms and kitchens
- Aluminum core keeps wide panels from sagging
- Wipes clean with a damp cloth, no repainting ever
- Insulates against summer heat and winter cold
- Cuts outside noise noticeably
- Lifetime warranty
- Typically ready in 3 to 4 weeks
Real Wood Shutters
Why homeowners pick real wood:
- Real grain and a finish composite can't match
- Stained or painted to match your trim (bring your Sherwin-Williams code)
- Best material for arches, angles, and custom architectural shapes
- Adds real resale value
- Lifetime warranty
- Aesthetic Appeal
Pick Your Louver Size
2.5 inch: The traditional look. Tighter lines, more slats per panel, best in smaller windows, cottages, and older homes where a big louver would feel heavy.
3.5 inch: The one most people land on. Balanced proportions, works in almost any room, and it’s the safe pick if you’re covering the whole house.
4.5 inch: The modern, wide-open look. Fewer slats, more glass, more light, and the best view when they’re open. Great in living rooms and big windows.
Not sure? That’s normal. We bring samples out and hold them up in your actual window so you can see the difference before you commit.
Arches, Sunbursts, and Odd-Shaped Windows
Most shutter companies will tell you your arched window has to stay bare. We don’t.
We build for the windows that don't come in a standard rectangle:
- Arched and eyebrow tops
- Sunburst and starburst arches
- Half rounds and quarter rounds
- Angled and cathedral tops
- Bay and corner windows
- Sliding and bypass panels for patio doors
These take custom templating, which is why we measure every specialty opening in person. Send us a photo and we’ll tell you what’s possible.
How It Works
We come to you, measure every window, and bring physical samples so you can see materials and louver sizes in your own light.
Line by line, no surprises, no pressure. Take it and shop it around if you want to.
Your shutters are built to your measurements. PolyCore typically runs 3 to 4 weeks, real wood 7 to 10 weeks.
Our own crew installs them. We clean up after ourselves and we don't leave until you're happy with how they sit
Backed for Life, and Financing Available
Every shutter we install carries a lifetime warranty, on both PolyCore and real wood.
We also offer financing with rates as low as 0% (W.A.C.) for up to 15 months, so a whole-house shutter project doesn’t have to hit all at once

Frequently Asked Questions
Shutter Questions We Get a Lot
PolyCore usually runs 3 to 4 weeks from the day you approve the order. Real wood runs 7 to 10 weeks because everything is milled, stained, and finished to your spec. If you're working toward a holiday or an event, tell us up front and we'll build the timeline backward from your date.
If the window sees moisture or hard sun, or you just never want to think about it again, go PolyCore. If you want visible grain or you need the shutters to match existing woodwork, go real wood. In a whole-house job it's completely normal to mix, wood in the living areas and PolyCore in the bathrooms and kitchen.
On real wood, yes. Give us your Sherwin-Williams paint code and we'll match it. If you don't know the code, we can usually identify it on site or pull a sample to match against.
They help. Closed shutters put a solid insulating layer between your glass and your room, which slows heat coming in during the summer and heat leaving in the winter. If heat is your main concern, pair them with exterior solar screens. The screens stop the heat outside the glass, the shutters handle what gets through.
We build those. Arches, sunbursts, half rounds, angled tops, and cathedral windows are all doable. Send a photo through the contact form and we'll tell you what we can do.
Yes. Same crew that measures does the install. Nothing gets subcontracted out. What's the warranty? Lifetime, on both PolyCore and real wood.
Yes. Rates as low as 0% (W.A.C.) for up to 15 months.
